Welcome to 20th Bolton
We like to think of ourselves as a fairly Active & friendly Group, with great set of Leaders supporting eager Beavers, Cubs & Scouts. We also have an associated Explorer unit, Pegasus ESU, which we often work with & share resources…..we are open to anyone, any gender, ability, faith (or none) etc.
Our base is at St Thomas CofE Primary School in Westhoughton, Bolton BL5 3HP, where we normally meet weekly – unless we are out somewhere for activities close by or further afield (such as our local camp site at Bibbys Farm near Chorley, which hosts some fantastic activities)
Hopefully our site will give you an idea of what we get up to, and might entice 6-18 year olds & adults alike to join us in all the fun & personal development that comes with it (although there’s often a waiting list) – unfortunately, you wont get to see everything we do on here, you’ll have to join us to for that blush….
Yes, you read it correctly, adults can have fun too, so if interested in joining our Team to help give our young people great experiences, please don’t be shy, just step forwards & upwards (see volunteering pages). You don’t need any previous experience or skills (if you have, that’s a bonus), there’s a lot of training & support available ranging from admin through leader roles to activities/National Governing Body (NGB) Awards – We are all Volunteers from very different backgrounds and day jobs, our rewards come in lots of ways but I’d bet seeing smiles on faces from personal achievements is high on everyone’s list.
