What to expect when you join

Please note that Scouts is a uniformed, non-discriminatory, organisation & its members are expected to make a promise (various versions) at their investiture, plus also expected to follow certain rules & behaviour (as per their section Law) to become members.

A subscription of £40/term (£120 p.a.) to cover insurance, Scout HQ fees & general local Group expenses, is also in place (NB in case of hardship, please contact myself or your section Leader, there are some funds available to offset – we don’t like anyone to miss out).

Some activities/events will probably have an associated cost, but this would be advised via the online membership system we use.

Parents/Carers also have a role – as well as possibly taking part in, or supporting activities, they also can have an influence on how the group is run. Parents/carers of all members, Leaders & other associated adults automatically become part of the Group structure and encouraged to stand for, nominate or elect & support members of the Group Executive….your input & support can make a massive impact on what we can offer & achive.
